DAYS OF MIXED FEELINGS

These few days been a mixed feelings. Jobs, home, and friends. I'll start slow. (ha ha)

An old friend of mine, Ah Mui is back in town with her husband Jacob visiting us. It's great to see her again, still look the same, only different hairstyle. (girls....) She has been married just over a year, wow time flies so fast already. Both reached here last Tuesday, and had lunch with them and other friends. Then that nite we had a FEAST. We ate at the seafood restaurant near the wet market on the 1st floor (forgot the name of that restaurant) The purpose of the dinner was the CRABS! We ordered 10 crabs to feed 8 of us. Dinner and the fellowship was good. Lots of laughter and chit chatting, and savouring the CRABS too. After the dinner we headed to my house, where we did an advance birthday celebration for Soo Jean. Will post up the pics as soon as I got them. (I hope)

Last nite was tiring. Helped my mom til late nite with the accounts for the small business thingy that me and mom still doing. Thank God for His blessings that the business is still running. So me and mom have a bit of side income to meet our needs (and also wants) The accounts really headache, really need to start over again to make them right, sigh......


Work was ok, rushing a deadline. Then me and 2 colleagues assigned yesterday and today, and probably tomorrow to a company in FP to do audit. Today was an unlucky day. The staff in that company told us that the whole building will be having a fire drill. We were in the 11th floor!! That meas we have to walk down the stairs 11 floors down and gather outside. It started at 3pm sharp, which we were caught unaware. I went to the washroom, and as I left the washroom, the alarm went off!! It was ear deafening experience. Everywhere got alarm speakers going off, super loud, almost making me deaf! So me, my colleagues and the staffs walked down the stairs together slowly. This is the 1st time I did this fire drill, which shouldn't happen to me as I'm actually not working there! Lots of people that worked there slowly walk their way to the open area. I saw some of the people wears safety helmets! It looks funny and a bit hilarious, buy hey, they put their own safety 1st. (salute them)

We gathered outside and watched the firemen did their drills and training. It was a bit bored. Spent almost an hour watching and waiting. The whole building have to be evacuated, that means EVERYBODY(civilians) must leave the building.
