The week it was

The past few days been an interesting week. The cell meeting was great. 2 members from the Doulos team visited my cell and they have been a blessing to us. They made us reflect on our highlight and also the "low" light for 2006. So each of us share. It's not been easy for me to share much, but I kept it short and simple. Yeah, 2006 have been a BIG year. So many things happened both in my life and around the church. Let us not to ask God why it happens, but to learn from them, so that we can grow to be wiser. The Doulos member shared that no matter what, keep holding on to God, for He will carry us through all difficulties. AMEN!

Last Saturday went for a haircut with Ding, my cell member, finally he got a haircut which we persuaded him to change his hairstyle. The hairdo was good, everything was good. But the next day he can't seem to take his habit off, so he still keeps his "combing" style. Adui.....

That Saturday nite, me and colleagues got the dinner ticket for the Christmas Dinner organised by the Roman Catholic Church in Foo Chow Association. My company bought a table. The dinner was good. Food was good. The musicians. singers, performance was entertaining. My fellow colleagues are socialable, laugh a lot, talk crazy crazy stuff, (u don't wanna know) But in the mid way of the programme, the Air-conditioner turned off. It slowly turned the whole atmosphere hot and uncomfortable, till i myself slowly sweat around. But the entertainers are smart, they really know how keep entertaining us and made us forget bout the HOTNESS. They announced that one phase of the building didn't get the power supply, and affected the A/C. Sigh, so unlucky and all of the guests paid at least RM100 each! One thing that troubles me, is that they sell alcohol drinks. Legally it's not wrong to sell. But the dinner was organised by the church, which I'm not sure what will ppl think, especially the more religious type of people. (if u know what I mean. If u don't, ignore what i said then) Well, what to do, we left at 1045pm and still left one more dish from the menu, cannot tahan, too hot. So me and colleagues went out and go "yam cha". (heh)

Sunday was also a good day. We cell members planned for a simple dinner to celebrate belated birthday for Ivy and Soo Jean at my house. We had BUBUR NITE. Each of us being / prepare something to compliment the porridge. It was a TEO CHEW style, where we scoop a portion of "empty" porridge and make our own mixture from the ingredients that we prepared, such as century eggs, salted eggs, shredded chicken, bean curd, "char kueh",.....and more! There were a lot of choices! There's even crabs! was delicious! Everybody enjoyed the dinner and the fellowship, lots of laughter. We had 3 visitors and they too contribute some stuff for the dinner. The more the merrier!! (heh) Sayang din get any pics, hopefully next time got more chances!
