Food for the soul

Today's cell group meeting is all about food! Had heaps of food, almost everybody brought something. Satay, make your own popiah, Shepherd's pie, lamb and turkey bits for the popiah, etc. I didn't have much time to go into Words session, as we started a bit late and had to practice singing for the cell group carolling. So, I'll just share here on what I personally learned. Hope you learn from me too.

The topic is about The Way to Maturity (Eph 4:7-13). We all have our own or sometimes similar gifts with our fellow Christians, and that gifts I consider powers from God. We can either misuse them or make useful of them. They can be a disaster or a blessing. It depends on YOU. Are you mature enough to handle your gifts?

For me, being matured is when you use your gifts to serve the Lord and obey the Word from the bible. It can be anything, from speaking of tongues, to musician, to engineers, gardener, up to being an apostles. I do agree that when the people are matured, unity will take place. It's because the people will use the gifts not for own selfishness, but to attain to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (v13). Bersatu kita teguh, bercerai kita roboh! Dear Lord Jesus, build me, my CELL MEMBERS, and YOUR PEOPLE up to be more and more mature, to be like you, so that we can use our gifts to serve you mightily, AMEN!!!
